members are required to purchase a
‘Krewe’ uniform that consists of period
clothing and Krewe identification patch
to be worn on vest or bodice.
The costume shall reflect a look of a
Buccaneer or Privateer, consisting of
authentic mid-1600 to early 1700 period
clothing. For men, dark vests (black,
brown, or maroon), a solid color
buccaneer or Renaissance style shirt
(bright colors are OK as long as the
shirt is one color (no patterns) with
dark solid color pantaloons or
breeches. For women, a wench blouse or
chemise with a pirate-look skirt
or a traditional long one (breeches or
sailor-style pants are also acceptable).
Headgear shall be a
buccaneer or tricorn-style hat (black,
brown, burgundy or tan) and/or an
authentic, solid fabric triangular
scarf, (60”or longer--no bandanas, or
printed fabrics). Footgear shall consist of
dark leather boots or ‘period’ shoes
(solid black tennis shoes, soles
included, are acceptable if worn with
boot covers).
Optional ‘captains’ coat
or cape for cold weather.
Accessory suggestions
include leather belts, leg hose, wigs,
jewelry, pewter mugs or flasks, replica
daggers, or cutlasses, and flintlock
pistols.
It’s recommended you have
a secure means of storing your personal
items on you (ie, zipper or velcro
pocket, belt pouch, etc).
You’ll
also need a bead belt and/or
dark-colored bead bag for carrying your
beads.

this catalogue reflect the items for
men, women, and accessories that are
considered appropriate and have already
been approved as Krewe costume. Any
deviation from the pre-approved items
will need to be approved (contact
Membership for approval procedure).
